we arrived at the port at 11 30 and were on board by 12. We went to the lido deck where they had a wonderful lunch waiting for us. The ship is a bit colorful but I loved it. after all I was on a cruise.
we sailed away right at 4 with the band playing and everyone in the cruising mode.
We had early seating. we found out that we were at a table for 2, we asked the matre de to please change us to a bigger table because we really enjoy the company of tablemates. He said he was unable to do it the first night but if possible he would change us the next day. and he did. We had wonderful table mates. great people lots of fun. The food was great. can not imagine people complaining. If people could not find something they enjoyed eating they were not looking. they had anytime seating at the same time they had set dining time. the dining room always seemed busy not as relaxed as just having set dining times, but not bad.
we had dinner at the golden fleece restaurant on Wednesday night. it is everything we had heard and more. I highly recommend it. 30 dollars was well spent.
lots of pictures, some good some not so good. At no time did the ship seem crowded and I wondered how they did it with so meny people on board.
they had the usual games and shows which I always enjoy. the casino was fun. won a bit of money. even played the slot tournament.
The cruise director was not as good as other ships I have been on. maybe i just expected to much, but didnt dampen our cruise.
we had an invisable room stewart. I think he hid in a drawer and when we left he popped right out straightened the room, filled our ice bucket, left clean towels and returned to the drawer. he was wonderful we never had to ask for anything.
the ports were great.
disembarking the ship was fast, smooth and efficient.
great cruise I am ready to book another cruise on the legend.
I came home totally exhausted. I had a great time.

Thank you for the great review macmom111. If you came home totally exhausted, then you had a great time! The stealth cabin stewards always amaze me. You never see them, but they know when you leave and what you need. I'm glad to hear you won some money in the casino, too. Lately, all I seem to do is donate. Get busy booking the next one, it helps the debarkation blues so much! Welcome back!

Thank you, Macmom for the wonderful review. I was on board the Legend by 12 last year too. The CD did seem a little off to me as well. No luck in the casino for me, I could stay about even playing the quarter machines beside the casino entrance to the sports bar. Those were the same one's they used for the tournament. Welcome back, and glad you had a great time. Smile
