We are scheduled for a September 22, 2004 cruise from Vancouver BC to Hawaii. I am interested in information on how the sea 'behaved' during the 5 day crossing, either to or from Hawaii (and Vancouver or Ensenada). I've sailed w/Carnival twice before - one trip was great, the other, not. Am hoping for a positive 2 out of 3 experience.

Any feedback on the 5 day sailing or other tips while cruising the islands?

Thanks,
Jill

You should be fine in September and have smooth sailing. The problems encountered on a Pacific crossing are generally incurred from about the beginning of November through February when huge Arctic storms produce powerful swells that move throughout the northern Pacific. There are really only three or four per year, and some years are more active than others, so it is always a crap shoot.

Have a great crossing and be sure to write a review when you get back.
