Well I'm back from my cruise with carnival and during the weekend I am plannig to give them the best review I can, so stay tune... I was asking myself what carnival is going to do about the genesis project issue wth RCCL? Are they going to make ships like this??? Well during my trip the cruise director mentioned the "Carnival Pinnacle Project" and that this will be, their new 200,000 tons response to RCCl new cruise ship line. It's going to be as big as project genesis is, so becareful RCCL here comes carnival to get you!!!

that video is partially faked. What is written in the video has been added to what originally was a (much longer!) design study video by Fincantieri shipyard.
While this is obviously Carnival's "Pinnacle" project, Micky Arison has stated repeatedly that Carnival has shifted the realization of this project for the foreseeable future. So while the design study exists, neither has this ship been ordered nor is it expected to be ordered anytime, soon.

Hope you had a great cruise. I look forward to your review. I have also read the same type info that Raoul mentioned about Carnival not pursuing the Pinnacle Project at this time.

ps. I sent a PM to you explaining the reason for the edit.
^^^^^^ Sorry about the video Island cruz my bad I only search on youtube and that was the video I found...probably a fake anyway so maybe the story is not true then
No problem. I am not a fan of ships that are so big, they may need a monorail. I wish they would pursue it though, just for the spectacle of seeing it.
