If you have been on the Carnival Liberty within the past 6 months, would you let me know what two nights (1st through 8th), are considered "formal" nights, or where you dress up more?
Hi brneyes, I haven't so I will just say it is usually the first Sea Day which would be Sunday. That would be the Captain's Reception and Dinner. On this particular cruise I am not sure of the second night. This is a good question. BTW, I love this itinerary, and it was my first choice last year but got over-ruled.
Hope you get an answer. In the mean time I will give someone who hasn't posted for awhile a ping. I am pretty sure they went on this cruise in Sept.

Thanks Dwayne, you may be right about the first night at sea, as a lady that comes in once a month here at work, just got off her Eastern cruise. I ask her, and she thought the first formal/Captain's night, was the day at sea.
Yes, I know a person can "sometimes" be voted off from the cruise/destination you want to go, but I was fortunate, as this is my friends "1st" cruise, and she is leaving "everything" up to me. Hopefully she will be happy, but I think she will.
