Does anyone know when or how you learn of your room assignments? I leave in four days and just spoke to my guy from Carnival, and HE asked ME if I had received my room. When I said that all the information I had said "TBA", he said that I may be receiving an upgrade. Has anyone ever had this happen? Or will I just be assigned a standard room at the minimum? Thanks for any information!!!!

We leave on the Carnival Glory on March 8. We had a guarantted inside cabin booked but when we got our room assigned it was an oceanview. Not saying this will happen to you but it does happen. Good luck.

We got an upgrade 3 days before our cruise. So yes it can happen. The porter will have the manifest with your stateroom number when you give him the bags. So go to bed tonight and hope for the upgrade fairy to come by and visit you. Have a great cruise.

Yes I have checked Carnival's website and it still says TBA. And actually while I was speaking with my Carnival planner, he said that he showed no room assignment as well. So maybe we'll get lucky like some others have. Fingers crossed!!!!

That is really cutting it close for a cabin assignment. You'll have to let us know when you finally get it.

The longer your wait for assignments the better the odds of being upgraded. The only reason not to close the catagories that close to a sailing and assign them is that they still have higher ocst Cats available they want to try and sell for more $$$ if possible before giving them to the Guar bookings. If the catagories above your sell out or all cabins sell out, they'll make the assignments. You may not be the one fortunate enough to get one of the hold out cabins but your odds improve when you're among the last assigned. Cross your fingers and as Larry said, let us know what you got when you get back.

Cheers, Neil

Just to let ya'll know, I just got back from my 7 day Carnival cruise upon the Conquest. Had a BLAST!!! As of the morning that we left I still had no room assignment. Got to the desk at the pier to check in and they checked us in and gave us our cards and said our room would be 1002. Being my first cruise, I had no idea where this would be. Finally found the room and it was awesome. Huge with a view, and almost a balcony. It was at the end of the hall so nobody really ever came to that end. So I just wanted to give props to Carnival. I'm hooked on cruising. Ready for the next!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear you had a good time! I hope I get so lucky on my cruise - although I already have a cabin number...but things could change.
