My husband and I will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on the Victory. It is a first cruise ever for both of us and are we excited! We will be on the May 2nd, 7-day cruise to the Eastern Carribbean. Our plane arrives in Miami at 1:02 pm. We are supposed to be picked up and taken to the port....do any of you know how long this will take? Roll Eyes

Congratulations on your big milestone!! A cruise is a great way to celebrate such a momentous occasion. If you have arranged your transportation from airport to ship through the cruise line, look for someone holding a "Carnival Victory" or other Carnival Cruises sign in the baggage claim area. Check with them and they will direct you to your transportation (likely a bus). You may wait a while for the bus to load, but they will get you to the dock on time. If you arranged your own transportation, like a shuttle, then check with that company to see what their procedure is; you may have to meet them at a certain area. Generally speaking, the ride itself takes maybe 20 minutes to half an hour, depending on traffic. Of course, if you booked your trip, including transportation to the pier, through a travel agent, ask her/him for more details of how & where you get to it, and how much time it will take. Have a wonderful time! Smile

Hi Leta,

We will be celebrating our 25th on the Victory that week also.

The Miami Airport is only 8 miles from the port, but of course that says nothing about how long it will take to actually get there... *lol*

We sailed on the Victory in March of 2003, so of course things could change, but when we got off our plane, we had to wait an hour for them to form a line for all the Victory passengers. Then it took 45 minutes to get everyone on the bus. The trip over was not that long at all. Once we got there, we talked to several people that told us they took taxis from the airport. Family's of 4 cost $20 and they didn't have to do any of the waiting that we did. Eventhough we had our transportation already paid for through Carnival, if I had known it was only $20, I would have gone that route too.
