Carnival's policy statement is vague in the area of non-alcoholic beverages. It states that a "limited quantity" may be brought aboard by guests and this amount is up to the discretion of embarkation personnel. In my view, a case of bottled water and one or two big bottles of soda will be fine and no one will question it. Now if it was a case of beer, well, they might take it from you. Dave

We have taken a 12 pk of soda per cabin with no problems on past cruises. We have always just carried it on with us when we checked in. This time, since I'm taking an extra bag, I'm putting it inside the bag and checking it. Also taking (or trying to) couple of bottles of wine.

My husband and I went on the Conquest in Sept. and each of wore a back pack full of little bottles of water. It was not a problem at all. We unpacked them and put them inside our little fridge in the room. My travel agent actually suggested it to us. Then we used the back packs for going on shore for swimming things and/or shopping, worked out really well. Here's you you having a wonderful trip!!!
