First time cruiser - We will be traveling the month before our cruise. There was a question about where to send our docs and the cruise planner I spoke with said they aren't even neccessary, just nice. What is in the docs? Are they neccessary? Couldn't carnival send them to a contact address rather than our home address?

Are you dealing with a PVP or a TA?

While it is true that people who have completed their Fun Pass have arrived at the embarkation without their documents, I would not want the additional hassle if I could avoid it.

Could you have the documents sent to a relative who could UPS them overnight to you to where you are at the time?

Bottom line, if you think you will be arriving at embarkation without the docs....make sure you have the Fun Pass completed on everyone and all other required ID.

Have a great cruise!

We never received any documents...never use Voyager Travel Agency! But, we had our FunPass and photo I.D. with our birth certificates, and went right through. Our boarding couldn't have gone any smoother. Remember to always carry your sail and sign card and photo I.D. at the ports, they always want to see both.

Annies is correct. Sometimes folks book so close to the sailing date that they literally pick up their documents at the pier. But I would make sure I had that Fun Pass completed.
