My family is Cruising the Eastern Carribean on the Valor Feb 27th. My son would like to learn to scuba dive in St.Thomas or St.Maarten. Has anyone tried this excursion on either of these Islands? Carnival offers excursions for begginer scuba lessons on both Islands, we are wondering if one would be better than the other. Any information you could give us would be appreciated.
Thanks

HI
How old is your son???, and When we went just recently there wasn't enough people to do the scuba, so we had to do the snuba, NOT recommended, you only get all tangled up in the hoses anyway.
I would suggest you sign up for it but have a back up plan to do it privatly as well if Carnival doesn't pan out. Theres quite a few dive shops on the WEB you can find in St Thomas and it may be way better anyway, because the two of you can go with one instructor, which would be great for his first time.

Regards
Happy diving
Gene
