In all my cruises I have never taken clothes pins and never had a problem with the shower curtain. Many of the newer ship are getting glass shower doors. I never have lugged an extention cord either.
The clothespin trick.....I was so glad I became aware of this prior to sailing. You will need 3-4 clothespins to attach to the bottom of the shower curtain, along the floor of the shower., to keep it weighted down, otherwise those shower curtains tend to try and cling to you while showering. The showers are very small if you are in most cabins, however if you are in a "suite" you will have a normal sized bathtub with sliding glass shower doors which you will find to be very nice! From experience, we have also brought along "chip clips" to weigh the shower curtain as well. I never cruise without them now!!

I'm with Fanatic.. never seemed to have a problem with the shower curtain. I suppose you could clip it down, but seems like a lot of fuss. More of a problem is the bathroom floor getting wet, but even then, a request for some extra towels solves that...

I never had a problem with the shower curtains but I usually have 2 clothpins with me from packing my kilt.
However I did see the signs "put curtain in tub before showering" My wife never pays any attention to it, Me however, it took me 20 min to get the curtain off the top holder tube but I got it in the tub!
I never understood that one either. the sign doesnt tell you how long to leave it there. I usually put it in the tub then go to the casino for an hour then come back, hang it back up then take a shower I havent gotten in trouble yet so I figger it only needs to be in there for a little while but why take a chance so I give it a good hour. Im just glad it's only a shower curtian and not Glass shower doors....That would put a damper on my showering. Just a thought
