Well, as luck would have it. Due to sustained 35 knot winds, Carnival has decided that the Holiday would not be stopping in Progresso today. Fearing mutiny, I have barricaded myself in my stateroom. The only weapons that I could find to protect myself are a shrimp skewer, a butter knife, and a stale croissant. I will notify you guys if I need you to summon Steven Seagal to save us. Big Grin

Sorry to hear you missed a port Robert. Hope you are having a great cruise otherwise. Smile

Sorry I missed giving you a Bon Voyage wish too. If a mutiny breaks out, run for the secret door with provisions and a good bottle of wine! We will send help asap!

I guess being 5 miles out into the Gulf at the pier in Progreso is not good in 35k winds. Eek

I must say that missing a port while on the Holiday is not the worst thing that can happen. The Holiday crew really know how to have great fun sea days.

All is well... Except for mulitiple cases of nausea, everything was fine. Hats off to the Holiday crew for helping me to remember what it is like to have personal attention on a small ship. Steve Cassel and his support staff are to be commended on their efforts. I will try to post a concise review soon.

I'm glad you survived and did not have to endure the problems of a mutiny. I do hope the nausea wasn't caused from the noro, and was just due to a few too many rum punches. Welcome home!

Welcome back Robert! wave

Glad you made it through without a mutiny! Haven't been on the Holiday in many years, though one thing I remember well was the exceptional service. It may take a few days to get your land legs. The last time that happened to me was on the Celebration with rough seas. I started taking half of a Meclizine every few hours and it eventually helped.

Looking forward to your review. Smile
