Time to graduate macmom. Smile My first cruise was a 4 day on Sovereign of the Seas. I was immediately hooked.

If you're feeling like 5 days isn't enough it's because you're a cruiseaholic like everyone else here. Step it up to a 7 or 9 day. Personally, 7 days are perfect for our family.

I would prefer to never leave, however, we've done 7,10,14,and 21 days. It's never enough, but I prefer the 10-14 days. I have enough undies to cover the time period without having to wash and don't have to drag any extra bags around. On the 21 day, I ended up having to take an extra suit case and do laundry. If I could get someone to foot the bill, I'd live on board. Wink

Penny, that is so funny you said you have enough undies for a 10-14 day cruise. When we went on our first 7 day cruise (our third I think) I thought I was planning correctly....7 days - 7 pairs of undies..LOL..boy was I wrong, didnt think about the daily activities then showering and dressing for dinner.....needless to say we ended up at the laundry about the 3rd day out.

So my question...how many do you carry for a 10-14 day cruise???

I agrree pretty much with Penny. I like 11-15 days.

Oh, and I take a pair for each day; what with swimming and 2-3 showers a day I don't need more than that.

The longest I've been on was 7 days and I was NOT ready to get off...I think my wife WAS though. Ironically, thats one of the things I'm dreading about our upcome cruise...4 days??? By the time I get unpacked it'll be time to pack back up! I'd like to try 10 days!

I just did an 8 day cruise and found that to be pretty perfect. I probably like 8-9 day cruises. Anything more may be too much. The 8 days gives you enough time so you don't feel like you have to run around and try to do everything as soon as possible.

I took almost 20 pairs of undies with me on this past cruise. I like having options. I opted not to do laundry. I usually wear at least 2 outfits each day on the ship so that was 16 plus a few extra for "just in case" stuff.

Carol, 22 pairs and 12 pairs of panty hose. I quit trying to take enough shirts because I'm always buying stuff in each port and on board. PA, you'd love a 10 day!

I think an ideal cruise length would be 10-15 days. I seem to just start getting the groove around 4-5 days. As for the undies situation, its always the same for me 3-4 day cruise, one pair, 5-7, one pair, 7-10, one pair. Just like at home, I get a new pair after 3 months.

I think I'd be fine with a 14 day to be honest. I refuse to believe cruising would ever get old. AS for undies...you're all assuming no one is going commando!!

The longest cruise we've taken is 8 days. I liked that one. 7 is usual for us, and having another day or two seems just about right for me. So I'd probably find a 10 day to be ideal.

We've only been on the 5 days, but my sister keeps telling me to go for the longer. Work restrictions dictate for now.

Ok, so does anyone remember when underwear had Monday, Tuesday, etc. embroidered on them. carlg, I guess yours would say January, February... or worse, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter?

I don't remember days of the week, but I remember a girlfriend having different colors for each day of the week. Redsday was my favorite day of the week!

We do an 8 day to Mexico, it seems to have a cheaper price than their 7 days. They also give a Vet rate on the 8 day and not the 7 day.

Right now I am just counting down for the Holland America 7 day we are getting ready to take.

Been on a couple of 7 days and a 10 day. The 10 day was the best lenght for us.Our upcoming cruise in sept is only 7 days but that is all I could be away from work for. If I had a choice it would be 10.
