Carnival announced today that the Ecstasy had problems with the engines. Thus they were unable to drop anchor in Progresso. The good news is Carnival increased its refund from 25% to 50% to the passengers onboard. Earlier, passengers got a $40 meal credit due to late boarding, and a 25% discount on a future cruise. Now we get to listen to passengers complain about all the problems, even getting a $1000 cruise for $500. I wish I could book a cruise like that! So although losing power changed the cruise itinery, the Very Good News is the passengers weren't on an airliner!
