There is no reason you shouldn't have a great cruise. Just be prepared in knowing that the Celebration is smaller than any of the Carnival ships you have been on. You won't have as many lounges to choose from for entertainment. They still will have Las Vegas type shows, Broadway, Comedians, Magician or Juggler shows just like on the other ships. The pool deck won't have as many hot tubs. (If you enjoy them). Everything will just be on a smaller scale. The food should be just as good.

I find a great deal of charm in the older Carnival ships. Holiday is a favorite of ours, and since it is sister to the Celebration I know you will enjoy your cruise. An important thing is to have your expectations correctly set. As Cruise Fanatic says - it is a smaller ship with less "stuff". But it also is a ship where you can walk just about anywhere on the ship in a few minutes, and that is not true of the monster vessels.

We sailed on the Celebration 2 years ago. It was our first cruise, so, I didn't have anything to compare it to. The food was great, the service couldn't have been any better, and the entertainment was good. The adult comedian was strictly adult, but that should be expected. I'm sure the larger ships have more "bells and whistles", but we had a great time on this ship! It is also a easy ship to learn the where abouts of everything, since it isn't enormous.

We didn't even attempt the pools and hot tubs, we were more interested in the entertainment, and restaurants. But, they did seem a little small. We laid out to enjoy the sun, but just didn't get IN the pools.

The crew was all very entertaining! Very friendly. We had no dislikes at all!

The ship was very clean, and the staff was constantly cleaning and painting. I do remember some of the carpet had a few stains here and there, but I guess that's to be expected occasionally. Basically it was over all a really well taken care of ship.

We had a great time, hope you do too!!

Was on the Celebration 2 years ago also. Had a great time and very good Casino Slots! Clean ship and in good order. Good food and service, excellent room service. I like the Holiday just a little better some reason.

The only thing that I really did not like was they did not open the aft lido bar at all, did not look like it had been open in quite some time. I like sitting there and watching the wake and meeting people. Some of us would get our drinks and go back there anyway. The other mid lido bar is very small.

Other than those quirks of mine was everything I expected and more.

December 2004 when when I sailed on the Celebration. It was my second cruise...having been on the Victory previously.
The ship was small to me. I have come to realize that I love the "monster vessels" Lol
I have to say that it was not my favorite cruise experience but I think it is because I did not know the difference in ships at the time and expected something like the Victory.
Still had a great time.
Enjoy your cruise!

That would disappoint me too. One of my favorite things to do on the Holiday is sit at the aft lido bar. Very relaxing and quaint - in good way. The part of the bar that is inside the buffet restaurant doesn't do much for me either!
