Has anyone be on the Carnival Sensation in Category 12 or in Cabin U 76 that might be kind enough to tell us a little about the cabin and the ship as well.

We will be sailing May 26th.

Thanks,
The Scotts

Scott, we sailed in a category 12 on Fantasy in '98, and enjoyed it. Very spacious for a cruise ship cabin. Trouble is, it was our first cruise, and having a balcony first time out, we got spoiled! Smile My only criticism was that we couldn't leave the balcony door open - it hinges rather than slides (as most older cruise ship balcony doors do) and is VERY heavy. This small thing aside, I think you will enjoy it - and get spoiled just like we did! Have a great time!

to keep the door open on the balcony - bring along a bungee cord to hook to the door to keep it open! Nothing like being able to go to sleep hearing the sounds of the ocean! Smile

Would you need one for the Conquest? Or does the door slide rather than hinge? Anyone know?

Thanks,
Tom

If you're going to use a bungee cord to hold the door open, make sure it's a strong one. Those doors on the Fantasy class ships (including Sensation) are - as I said - VERY heavy! Eek

Hey Tom,

You'll need a cord or something for the doors on the Conquest balconys. They are also on springs and shut automatically.
