There are alot of Key West topics in the Caribbean Port Chat section. Key West is a self excursion type port to me. Come to think of it I haven't looked at Carnival's excursions in a long time.

The Conch Train is a good tour or just go downtown and walk around. There are lots of fun museums to visit, loads of shops, bars, and tourist areas. If you like key lime pie, visit the Blond Giraffe. It's off of Duvall and has wonderful key lime pie, cookies, etc. Smather's beach is the best beach there. Mallory Square is a fun place to take in the locals, shop, and try some conch fritters. It's just a great place to explore. Hope you have a wonderful cruise!
I took a look at the Carnival excursions. If you are into water type activities, especially snorkeling. I can recommend the Sail and Snorkel on the Fury they offer.

My family really enjoied the Key West Butterly ?? thing?? We took a cab from the peir. It was $4. per person. We asked the cab driver for his number. The butterfly thing was awsome and cost $12 or $13. Then we walked about a block to the Southern Most Point beach. Looked around a little then called the cab driver. He drove the scenic route back to the peir. It was another $4. So for a family of four it cost about $90.00. I think the same excursion is $70 or $80 per person. Give it a try. It was lots of fun.
