Funny topic, I didn't know there was a real battle going on ! Do musicians board cruise ships with microphone in their teeth and shoot each other with their guitars? Are stronger Fenders or Gibsons?
Hope in a band don't survive only bass and drum player, it would be a bit hard to tell which song they're playing...

Music Boardwalk gets my vote, best band I have heard on a cruise ship and one of the best I have heard on land. f-mattox is correct, Fender Rules, unless you're playing "British Music" then you definitely have to go with a Gibson.

Look at all us recent Miracle-ites, singing the praises of Music Boardwalk. Yes, they are that good!

Hi I love cruising, just curious have you heard them on land also? If so, where. Thanks for info. Mary Ann

Hi Cortney, you're not going to believe this but I booked myself on another cruise for August 7th. I believe that is their last cruise and I can't wait to see them again. I plan on finding out a lot more than I did before. LOL Mary Ann
Questions: Do these bands just play randomly on the ship, like near the pool or other areas where people hang out? Or do they have an entire show devoted to them?
Also, will Music Boardwalk still be on the Miracle come Sept.? That's when I'll be on her.
And FINALLY, what type of music do they play?

Mike, Music Boardwalk plays in Frankie & Johnnie's, one of the lounges on Miracle. They play covers. Looking at them I would never guess that they would sound the way they did, lol. They just looked like four random guys. But they sounded awesome. They play oldies/party tunes like "Margaritaville" and "Brown-Eyed Girl." The lounge was always pretty packed when they were playing. Not sure how long they'll be on the Miracle.

Hi Mike, I agree with Cortny, their just random guys from the Phillipines but when they sing they sound just like the original group. Imagine they haven't taken any lessons just play the song until they get it right. They also play Queen, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, and Free Bird besides the usually party songs. There's four of them. Nothing special. No tricks to their trade. Very authentic. That's why when you hear them you just can't believe it. Mary49

Hi Cortney, do you think that these guys are all part of the crew and that Carnival just grouped a couple of guys together that could pull this off and sound sooo good? According to this group, they just practice until they get it right. Also there seems to a lot of them around Carnival ships like: Music Society, Music Unlimited, Music Mix, etc. I've only heard one other cover band Music Mix and they were also very good. They had a lady singer and again all Phillipines. Just amazing. That's for your take on this.
