Deege2424 I agree it's cheaper to keep her we are all just jesting here. Once you tie the knot your done.
My first cruise was in 2003 and it was a present to myself for never missing a child support payment for the full 18 years,There were times I thought of doing myself in, there were times of crying everytime I saw my pay check, It hurt badly when I would hear that mommy and her new boyfriend just bought another horse, and Mommys new boyfriend and his 4 kids were moving into our house, I got a message from mommy's new boyfriend one time on my answering machine saying "thanks for the partying money" ....although I'd probably be out on Parole about now if I did what I was thinking of doing I stuck it out and in the end Im glad I did....my support ended in October of 2003 I got a full check for the first time. October 2003 was my month, New truck, first cruise and I was 45 years old and still single. A regular MrOctober I was...and since then I never settle for anything but the best for ME cause I believe I deserve it Smileevery October I turn a year older and treat myself to my Cruise and on that cruise I do a lot of thinking about who I am and who I want to be. I loved her and still do. My kids are 26 and 22 (2 boys)they are great kids. altho the "Party money" may have went to new horses and feeding his kids as well, it somehow trickled down and made life better for my children.but my friends the road was long and painfull.
sorry
Just thought I'd throw that out there.

All of this reminds me of a funny saying...."no matter how good looking someone may be, somebody, somewhere is tired of her. Smile Ok ladies, there probably are remote instances where this could apply to guys too.

Michael, I knew some of your past but had no idea. I can only imagine. You are a strong man. I watch Judge Judy sometimes and get so mad when these folks come on that get the support but they try to live on it instead of it going to the kids benefit Mad That system is really flawed IMHO.

No need to be sorry at all at least in my view, just glad you kept your sanity through the insane situation.

I wanted to ask you if you are getting any fire or smoke there?

TN, There is also the saying, "that girl has a daddy", keeps me reminded of where my head should be.

There was a country song something along those lines in the 70's. But I can't remember it.

Sanity, and a peace of mind, can you really put a price on that? All I want now is sanity and a peace of mind. I'm going to stay right here and let her make the next move. She started this and I will let her finish. Can't wait until my cruise date,,, Sept can't get here soon enough.
Have a safe and fun cruise all!!!!

Mr. October, I knew: you're great.

To celebrate you, as I'll come home I'll put on my old turntable the original vinyl l.p. "Thick as a brick" by Jethro Tull.

I was reading along here thinking how horrible it would be to not bring along your spouse... and then SMACKED myself in the head because that is exactly what I'm doing in August.

I'm taking my two teens with me on the Pride to Mexico and leaving Husband (not their father) at home. He and I enjoy quiet relaxing vacations, but the kids like to go-go-go non-stop. I like both kinds. So we ALWAYS take separate vacations. He and I go to quiet bed and breakfasts, the kids and I head to Vegas or LA. Everybody is happy and the best part is - I get double vacations! So the kids and I are going to do the canopy adventure, ride horses, go snuba diving, swim with dolphins... and in January the Husband is going with me to South America.

It's not necessarily a bad sign in a relationship - it's just realistic, and everyone gets to do what they want! (Instead of me stressing out all seven days trying to please everyone!)
