Was wondering if anyone on here was booked to go on the Splendor? I'm trying to decide between her maiden voyage or another one. Also hoping to convince my sister to come with me to help with the double occupancy thing for singles. If you are booked, why did you book that cruise, and where would you recommend to have a cabin? I'm wanting to get a balcony. Thank you!!

Keri,

if you would like to book a balcony cabin, try to get one overlooking the stern, as those have much larger balconies and it's wonderful to see (and hear) the wake.

The stern is the rear of the boat right? Do you hear or feel the engines at all??

atlantagal,

obviously, I have not been onboard "Carnival Splendor", yet, but on "Carnival Liberty" you didn't feel or hear anything.

Yes, the stern is the rear of the ship. Wink

We are booked for the 8/30 cruise because we want to wait until the crew gets the kinks out.
