I have learned a whole bunch of great stuff here. Cruising for my daughter's high school graduation and my sanity July 21, 2007 on the Glory. Me, DH, daughter, daughter's BF, and DS. Anybody else going? I also heard they changed the cruise director (Wee Jimmy) during this time?

You are right. The whole DD's BF is so very generous. I wonder if he will get his own sail and sign card.
Welcome "Ontheway" to the addictive world of cruising.
Yes, DD's BF will have his own S$S card; he's been around since he was 15 (now 19) and is like a family member. And yes I am very generous, although the whole expense of the S$S is sobering, especially since my DS is 21, and can drink. But, hey this is for FUN... we have 3 balcony cabins aft on the Empress deck. Does anyone know if these have extended balconies? I heard they did, but they don't look like it on the website deckplan.

Ontheway, I have never been on the Glory, so hopefully IBCruzin will be able to answer for sure, but those cabins ARE on the aft of the ship and the angled back is what gives the larger balconies. So my assumption is that you will have deeper than normal balconies.

Ahhh. Yi. yi. yi. Bill Gates has always been someone that I have admired, but, I have never met a blood relative of him. This vacation could prove costly but apparently that is not a terrible disaster. Good Luck. Robert

The cabins are not any wider but are probably a bit deeper. One good thing is that I believe the room attendant can remove the dividers that separate the balconies and you can end up with a really wide, really deep balcony. That would be really nice
