Anyone else going on this particular cruise?

This is our first cruise. Any information that anyone can provide would be helpful. I have specific questions about formal night, prices on the ship, and the port of New Orleans.

we were on holiday out of nola in march 2003 geat time and nice crew

Just got back yesterday!

Ship was in great condition and the entire staff was very courteous.
No odor problems.
No overcrowding.
No problems with the quality of food.
No Sandbars!
Rooms were Spacious enough considering we were on a ship.
Soft drinks $2.50 (not sure)
Beer $4.00
Mixed drinks $6.00
Speciality Drinks $ 6.00
Drink of the Day $3.00
Gratuities were added in automatically to the cost.
Pictures $19.95 (8 by 10)
snorkeling excursion $ 39.95 per person ( worth every cent) Booked thru Carnival

Negatives: LIDO Deck restaurant very hot
Only 2 of 4 elevators working
Sir Need a drink! Sir Need a drink!

Had a very good time and really enjoyed it.
I truly have to say that every thing was better than expected ( I am a very pestimistic person)
I hope I didn't bore you but since I relied heavily on this message board prior my trip, I felt it was my duty.
