my user name is worksucks but it showns my name? which is gary albert..? which really isnt my last name,,whats up with that? i tryed to contact the forum mod by e mail but it would go throw?

when you registered with Cruise-Chat.com, you chose "worksucks" as your Username and "gary albert" as your Display Name. The latter is the name shown next to your postings, while the Username is the one used at login.

Your profile shows "gary albert" as your display name, which is why you see it and not your user name. User name is for logging into the forum, display name is whatever you put down when you joined the forum. You therefore had to put "gary albert" in when you filled out the member info.

ok so iam stuck with gary albert , unless i join up again right? no way to change it i guess what iam saying?

You can go into your profile and change it. Click on your screen name and a menu will appear. One will be for your profile.

In fact, I just changed my screen name to get rid of "Dave56" and use my real name.

By the way, it sometimes doesn't change instantly. It can take a few minutes.

well dave it didnt work.. can i pm you my password and you do it ..i got a real good user name that fits me good..

regular users can change their usernames, but they cannot change their display names. The reason for this is that allowing unlimited display name changes for all users would likely cause confusion and might lead to abusive behavior.

However, any administrator will be able to change your display name for you. Just let us know which new name you would like to have. Your password is not required.
