My husband and I are going on the Glory Aug. 2nd-9th, our first cruise, and VERY excited!!! We are going on a Western Caribbean cruise, with stops in Key West, Cozumel, Belize, and Progresso.. looking for any excursion info or opinions. We really want to go snorkeling (never been) somewhere that we will actually see something, around a reef would be ideal. We are thinking about the cave/tube tour, snorkeling, kayaking, etc. and would love some info about which place would be better for each excursion. We have also heard about the Chankanaab Bay I believe in Cozumel?? and were wondering if anyone could tell us if this would be a good idea. We are 26 with no children, ready to party and game for just about anything that would be a blast!! Also, anyone else going on the same trip?? We really appreciate your help! Thanks!!

when you arrive in belize it looks horrible. i have talked to alot of people who didn't go beyond the town. believe me it is a dump. we hired a cab and he took us around the island and it is beautiful, he took us to a hotel with a beautiful beach and grounds. there were island women there selling hand embroidered t-shirts. what a bargain they were. he even stopped at the airport for us to go in and buy some wine to take aboard with us. a guard at the airport had to escort us inside and waited for us , then escorted us back to the cab. i can't remember what it cost, just that it was very reasonable. he also stopped to let me make a phone call to the states that i needed to make. it was downtown, there was a window in the side of a bldg. and a man with a switch board was sitting there and he connected me and then gave me the phone. very primitive.............
My wife and I and 14 other family members will be going on the Glory Aug 16. Really excited, never been on a ship as new as the Glory. Just hope they have all the bugs worked out. This is our 5th cruise with Carnival and have never had any complaints so I am sure it will be great. The only port we have been to before is Cozumel and what we did was take a taxi to the state park. They have a beautiful beach there. You can rent snorkel equipment there cheaper than on the ship at least this was the case a couple of years ago.
