I have just booked a Category 9A, Room 7301 on the Carnival Miracle, July 30,2007 cruise from NY. We are a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids 15,13), and I am debating if I should upgrade to a Category 11, Room 7298? I've seen some pics from people that have been on the carnival Legend, and it looks okay space wise, but I'm wondering how do these upper beds work? I see the sofa bed, and apparently there is an upper in this room??? Would it be worth it to upgrade, or is it possible that they may upgrade us to Category 11 at embarking, or is this doubtful? Any suggestions?
My wife and I had a room with an upper berth on the Fascination. They fold away into the wall or ceiling when not in use, and the steward will pull them down when needed. The sofa does convert into a bed as well.

Thanks for the reply, so.........do you think its worth upgrading from a Category 9A to a Category 11 at the back of the ship? I have four people, and my third child is bunking in an inside cabin, but might want to sleep with us, and we want to be sure there's enough room for all of us.
