Carnival has forever had the reputation as the party line. Mostly from those who have never sailed them or those who haven't sailed them for a very long time. I don't expect that bad rap will ever change. With the new age regulations for cabins and the new drinking onboard policies, I don't know how those who have cruised Carnival can call it a party ship. It is among the most family and children friendly lines in existence. I guess if you mean party in the "Chuck-E-Cheese" sense of the word you'd be right. It would be a great place for your childrens birthday party!

Cheers, Neil

Boy I must miss alot of partying when we are on a carnival cruise. The mind set for people is that if you pay more its better. We have been on NCL, Princess and RCI same rude people and drinkers on every cruise we have been on. To go on those lines cost us $300 to $500 more per person. Let me tell you none of those lines were worth that much more for a cruise. We will now stay with Carnival and I hope all the uppes go on the other lines they will not be missed. Have a nice cruise

Gee, I don't think you have to be uppes to not want to be around a lot of kids or teens. Your also not a snob if you prefer a more elegant crusie. We are all lucky to be able to choose, don't ya think?

My husband and I are in our late 20s but we're definitely not partiers, and we had the most fun on our Carnival cruises. The decor is quite loud, but I always end up loving it by a few hours into the cruise, once I get used to the in-your-faceness Wink The nice thing is, there's pretty much a cruise line to suit everyone's personality!

We have discussed all of the issues that were in the Original Topic Post. We are now straying to subjects that were not mentioned. So we should end here.
