My very first cruise was over Christmas on a Carnival ship. (Back when the Fantasy was new.) The ship most likely will be decorated for Christmas and the Christmas spirit will be evident on board. They will most likely be one or more religious Christmas services for those who wish to attend.
Be prepared for crowds. The ship will be near maximum capacity due to all of the families traveling.
Many of the ships put up their decorations shortly after Thanksgiving and some are quite spectacular. While I have not actually been onboard on Christmas Day, I have been onboard on Easter quite frequently and religious services were always scheduled. Nancy
We've been at sea or at a port on Christmas for each of the last six years. Each of the lines we've sailed had at least one service and loads of Christmas decorations. It's a great time to be on board!
Just wondering when the ships usually take the Christmas decorations down and when they stop playing Christmas music? I would like to book a cruise for the first of next January and was hoping for more of a party atmosphere/music when we come then. Thanks.
