We are planning a cruise the end of October on Conquest out of Galveston. I would love to hear from others who have cruised during that time of year about the temps while at sea and at the ports. (We love hot weather and are afraid it may be too cool to enjoy pool, etc).
I have sailed many times in the month of October. You should be able to enjoy the pools. That doesn't mean the weather can't change. I always travel with atleast a light sweater, or blazer incase the weather changes.
I second the above advice. I did a cruise (although in the eastern Carib.) several years ago in late September and the weather was quite warm (mid- to upper 80s) and humid. Take a sweater or light jacket anyway, for the air conditioning aboard ship can sometimes be a little enthusiastic.

I go every October to the Bahamas and the water temp on the beach is 85 degrees the air is in the 80's as well. I havent experienced a bad day weather wise at all. maybe just an after noon quickie shower. the kid's are back in school, the leaves and licence plate's start turning colors. October is a great month...ahhhh October....I leave on the 15th.
