Read this thread. The cruiseticker.com website was summarily shutdown by the host server and these tickers no longer work. You need to remove it from your signature. There are a couple other options out there but frankly many of us have found it refreshing to go "ticker free". It makes the threads less cluttered.

But, it is your choice.

I'm glad to hear you say that Dave.

I have visited that "other' site occasionally, and besides the sheer size of it, I really don't like the the look--way too cluttered with tickers and all kinds of junk--and the font is much smaller and paler and hard to read.

Besides, all the cool people are here.

I know what you mean. Some of the posters at that "other" site have show much junk attached to their posts that you'd think you are entering a video arcade. It must be one of the reasons their site can be so slow at times, or even crash.

And it goes without saying that it is cool to hang out here! Going to that other site exclusively is like doing all your shopping at Wal-Mart.

i understand the excitment, nita...i just made my final payment...though it does hurt to see the HUGE number on my credit card bill...well worth it, though

and because i significantly increased the "coolness" by joining the cruise-chat boards, i would like to say to everyone "you're welcome!"

But I don't want to hear of anyone snapping their fingers instead of applauding! We won't even mention the word "groovy". Lol

A little off topic here and I apologize but there seems to be a plethora of members on this site from Alabama... What is in the water system that makes us crave cruising?

drlivingston,

We do seem to have many members from Alabama, and Tennessee too. And lets not forget IslandCruz from South Cacalakky. And although we really don't consider them part of the south - those from Florida too. <g,d,and r>
