I just got a letter from Carnival, after I wrote about our disappointment with Club 02(on the Sensation) and they said on our next cruise they would have a gift in our room. Has anyone else had this happen? Wonder what it is?

Don't count on it being much. We have had "gifts" from Carnival. One time it was a carnival key chain. The other was a wine/fruit basket. Actuall the basket was nice because of the free wine and the fact that the kids snacked on the fruit for the trip.

But, at least they acknowledged your complaint. Not knowing what your gift is going to be just adds to the excitement waiting.

This was really not a complaint, just a mention of the club being a bit on the rowdy side. Loud rap type music and crude talk by some of the teens. But we were able to take our teen out and about the ship and have a good time anyway.

Carnival is pretty good about appreciating constructive feedback. Even if it is not a complaint they often reward the feedback. The letter's use to have a number to call when you book another cruise with a reference number.

I think the time we had one we got a fruit/wine basket in the cabin, or a bottle of wine sent at dinner.

We received one of those letters once after leaving feedback and our cabin was decorated with "Bon voyage" streamers and a fruit basket. After leaving feedback again and bringing 33 people along on the next cruise, there was nothing! Must be a random procedure rather than a pattern! We will see next month when our group of 8 cabins board the Fantasy!

tn, I don't think their gifting is consistent either. I sometimes get different things for different reasons, and I never know who sent what. This last time I didn't get anything on embarkation day. Someone sent $15 in photo credits by the hostess at dinner, and I had to sign for them.

Year before last, I had the Bon Voyage decorations, a fruit/nut/cheese basket, a bottle of wine, and 2 bottles of water waiting in the cabin!

The notes only said my name and cabin number, and they were compliments of Carnival. I did figure out the fruit basket thing was from the casino hostess, because she asked me if I got my gift. Smile

We got a letter from them after my wife talked to the Purser's Desk about a lot on noise about our cabin. We were mailed a letter giving us $50.00pp a total of $100.00 on our next cruise within 18 month. I thought that was very generous.

I called Carnival and they let me choose what I would like. Red or White wine. Fruit basket, chocolate ship or some streamers. I think thats it. I choose wine. That was nice.
