We will be going on our 1st cruise. We have 2 teens. Will there be plenty for them to do, and will there be lots of college kids that week? I would also enjoy talking to anyone else that is going on the Paradise March 16.

There will be lots for the teens to do, but no dont expect an abundance of college age kids, they tend more towards april and more towards ships where you can SMOKE. Enjoy!

Yes, quite a few times. I have sailed somewhere between 15-20 times. My son will be very happy to hear that your daughter will be on board. What part of the country are you from? We are from South Florida. Cool

We live outside of Charlotte, NC. Have you taken any of the excursions on the islands? What should we look for, and is it better to book with cruise line or on your own?

I've been to Nassau many times as I live so close. I'm planning to take my son on the Historical Tour as he has never seen the fort and the dungeon. You might also want to go to see Atlantis. I have never been to Casa de Campo, but if you check the Carnival web site you can see the tours that they offer. I know someone who is from the Dominican Republic so I am going to ask her opinion as to what tour I should take before I leave. I have been to St. Thomas twice and both times I went to Trunk Bay on St. John. The beach is incredible and the snorkling is ok. Both the ships I sailed on before, had tenders to St. John, so it was much easier to get there. I am not sure if I am better off going to one of the beaches on St. Thomas rather than having to take a cab and a ferry to St. John. If you want to shop and go to the beach as well you are probably better off staying on St. Thomas. You can just take a cab to one of the beaches. The same goes for St. John. You can go on your own for much less money than booking a tour on the ship.
