Any pros and cons on using private parking areas instead of cruise line parking areas? Any feedback on this will be greatly appreciated. Sept. 3 carnival Conquest; Our first Cruise!!!!!!!!

EzCruise in galveston has gotten several good mentions in here. I have used them and have recommend them to someone that used them and to someone that will be using them in a couple of weeks. Basically its the same deal as the cruise parking, you drop your luggage off, (leave someone with it and to get in line for you.) Take your car to the ez-cruize lot and they shuttle you back. The only difference is the cost and which lot you car is parked in. Just be sure to reserve a spot online before you go so that you are sure they have room for you.

EZ Cruise parking is super.

They were a real help while we were parked there during Hurrican Rita!

BigunTX-- So you were on the cruise during/after Rita? We came in the week after it had gone through. We were very worried that we were not going to have a vacation. We meet a couple that had been living the week without electricity or water, they couldn't find a hotel, so they decided to cruise instead. Worked out about the same for them $$. I thought that was quick thinking. I'm not sure I would have thought about the cruise ship for a hotel.

Did Rita mess up your cruise?

Rita only added two great days to our cruise last September.

The staff on the Conquest and the people at EZ Park were great.

The original projections had our Expedition under 21 feet of water at the parking area, however, except for the unfornunate people in East Texas and Western LA we were fine.

Ah.. so you got the "extended" cruise. cool. We went on the next full seven day cruise. But we were really concerned that the port would not be open since our original cruise was canceled because of Katrina and the Elation being moved.

Oh and Biguntx.. one more question.. how does the Grand Princess compare to the Conquest? Since you have sailed on both...

Yes, use EZCruiseParking. They were nice people and shuttle you and luggage for a tip. They are highly recommended by us. The only thing, the parking lot is a little rough, not a new smooth surface, but who cares....go!

The Conquest is our favorite ship of all.

We cruise on it again on 10/15/06.

We are probably in the minority but my wife and I really enjoy Carnival.

However, I have never been on a bad cruise.

We used the ez parking also. They were great and very helpful. If you are a man you will especially like one of the attendants/managers.

Dandj, I must have missed that one! She must have been a beauty, or had other features that brought attention.

You either missed that attendent or must have park at the Port Authority lot.

It a real memorable send off to our cruise journey.

Even me being a stait female noticed the crves and barely there clothes. Image a Hooter girl helping you park you car. Don't get me wrong it was not skanky but you could tell she was proud of her investments.
