Lol That would be just my luck. I'd probably pee my pants laughing if we were booked on different ships. They're out of town this week, I'll have to confirm that number they gave me.

A couple weeks before our cruise in Feb. 2005 on the Victory,(balcony guarantee) I called Carnival directly and told them I needed to know our cabin number so I could leave the appropriate information for the person caring for our daughter in case of emergency. I was asked my booking number and she told me our cabin. Maybe this was a fluke, but I had no trouble getting the info I wanted.

Hello, all! I'm new to this, but this board has taught me well! So, I tried the Kelly Method with any cabin number in and above Cat. 8A guar. (on Carnival Glory leaving 10-8-05). I did all cat. 8, then 9, and so on. The response each time was "Invalid booking/cabin #". Then, for the hey, I went thru suites and pent. suites and about 5 rooms before the last, it said "Sorry, cannot order from guarantee room". Okay, that's new. So I did the last 4, and it said invalid blah, blah. I even tried several others and none said "Cannot order from guaranteed cabin except this room, which is (I'm apprehensive to believe) 7299 Penthouse Suite. Anyone else come across this? I would love to hear any experiences with this. Thanks!!!

Try an click your fun pass now go to the bottom right and click gifts and service's click as if you are going to order something so that mean click on any item for sale there.... and scroll down you will see your booking number and shuold say your cabin number.... Buy the way what does your picture show your room to be on the website? I mean what is/does the room picture show? And yes I would think that might be your room number BUT IT COULD CHANGE sorry to say that I know it sucks! but do that method I just told you and tell me if it says a room number??? Did you book with carnival or through a Travel agent?

Hope you post a reply SOOn!

Or e-mail me I would love to hear the answers to my questions..... pissyemily@comcast.net

I've tried the fun pass thing about 100 times and still stays GUAR on cabin #. I hate to get my hopes up, so expect a balcony room on Verandah deck (my guarantee). I've been checking cabin availabilities and there are NO rooms left in cat. 8,9,or 11. Only 3 cat. 12. If I was downgraded, where would they put us? I booked through a travel agent, who offered a free upgrade, but thought I may end up in a suite, since Oct. is so slow. There are about 60 cabins left in lower cats. We're 38 days from boarding. I read that they've starting setting cabin assignments no closer than 6 weeks. I'm aware that things can happen and cabins can change. Being extremely neurotic, I hate not knowing (then why book a guarantee?). We actually chose a balcony on Verandah, but the TA said guarantee would give us a better deal for what we wanted. I called Carnival to see if I had a cabin assignment yet and they said only my TA would know, but not until 3 days before sailing. I must chill until then. Happy sails to you......until we post again!!

How do you check for cabin availability?
I read that people know which cabins are
gone and whick are still available, when checking on their status for upgrades.

Log into Carnival's website and click on the link to Modify Your Booking. When you get to the next page, instead of GUAR it should say your stateroom.

I just did this, too. It worked. E99.
