Me,my wife and two boys are going on the Carnival Triumph ship on Jan 25, 2003. We are booked in Cat 11. Can anyone comment on how Cat 11 room is and also how the ship is for kids? (camp carnival)

Since the Penthouse is catagory 12 your cat. 11 is pretty good...down right large...with a balcony. How old are your boys? This will better determine how they do. I took this ship and thought the children program was really good.
They also have 24 hour baby sitting service...just incase you wondered.

I have sailed on the Triumph, and she is quite nice, a Cat 11 is a good sized room as most websites will show you. The rate is high, so be sure to recheck the rates online and speak to your travel agent if they go down (though cat 11 doesnt often see much of a discount). The Triumph is a large ship with good open spaces all around. Be sure to try the Goat Cheese and mushroom pizza at the 24hr pizza kitchen (I at 12 on my two day cruise to nowhere). The shows are fairly good, and the kids area is large. Though I would say kids of age 13 were seldom seen on deck (maybe they were down below playing video games). The whole ship is well laid out and seems to be in good repair. I was only in a 6a, but enjoyed the space and the cruise.
