Oh you will love it. The HOliday is one of the oldest ship in the fleet, but you will never know it. It is going to be a wonderful experience for you and your wife. Be sure to enjoy the games and activities on the boat. that is part of the fun. Enjoy!!!

We did this cruise in March. It was our third cruise on the Holiday, which has become my favorite Carnival ship. Once again, the crew of the Holiday exceeded my expectations and provided great service, food, and entertainment. I think you will also be impressed by the staff and facilities at the Port Of Mobile. Best run cruise terminal in this country, bar none.

We have many reviews of the Holiday located at our Cruise Reviews.com area. As with anything, some like it and some don't. The Holiday is an old ship but it is well maintained and offers a great cruise.

Just did Holiday in June. It's a great old ship in wonderful shape. The crew is excellent, the food is incredable and the shows were good. The HOLIDAY is going to be sold soon so get a trip on it while you can.

Love the Holiday, her sister the Celebration is a dear old gal as well, but Holiday has the better port schedule.

As far as recommendations... take sunblock, plan for 1 formal dinner, sunglasses, camera, and plan to gain 4-5 pounds due to the warm chocolate melting cake (now available every night).

I've never brought back electronics... I don't know why you couldn't. I've brought back plenty of booze. And lots of people bring back silver and precious gems. Watches are pretty common as well. Just remember to be honest on the customs form, and keep in mind that it's OK to go over your limit, just be ready to pony up on any taxes that might be due.

happy cruising!
