My mailman leaves other peoples mail in my Box all the time. I just hope he get's my mail right when it comes to my Doc's . I never use the U.S. Mail for anything anymore.
The only thing I look forward to in my mail box each year is my Doc's.
What if I dont get them? what if someone else just get's them and tosses them?
That would be a tragedy Mr. O... I'd call CCL if I didn't have them by 3 weeks out. I'm sure that you don't HAVE to have them to check in since you should be in the computer (Bring your booking number) But I am sure CCL can express mail them to you if they don't show up on time.

Mr. October, dont worry, sometimes the docs get their 2-3 weeks out. Just make sure you go online and fill in the fun pass information and take it with you to the port, as long as you are on the manifest you will board the ship.
Quick story: Last month I had a couple taking their honeymoon on the Inspiration out of Tampa. They drove to the port from SC, about an hour from Tampa they called me, they had their ID's, but they left all their documents sitting on the dining room table back home. The poor bride was in a panic. I told her as long as she had filled out the funpass online she would be ok, (she was a previous cruiser and had done this many times in the past), she did not fill it out she forgot. I tried to fill it out for her, but since the ship was leaving that afternoon it would not allow me. I called Carnival, was told as long as they had their booking number and they were on the manifest it would just take longer at the port without the funpass but they would be able to get on the ship. No problem...honeymoon saved.
By the way, the bride stated on her return that it was a breeze the only thing the people at the port were concerned about was getting the credit information for the sign and sail card.
I always wondered why they needed any more paper work than the sign and sail credit card info anyway. I suppose if you were flying into the port city and had bought their transport services and maybe even airfare through them, then there would be more usefull paperwork in the docs. But driving your self does not seem like there would a big need for the ticket book. I can see needing the bagage tags though. But if you new your tag color or cabin number you could even get those from the luggage handlers.
I just like getting them in th email because 1) its a fun surprise in the mail and 2) it signals to me that cruise time is very near...

Jim, I think it is just to speed things up with people that did not do fun pass. I did notice that all the stuff I filled out is still in my book from last year except one thing.
Page 2 of the contract section where I actually signed agreeing to the terms...Humms
Mr. O, That is smart to do the fun pass early. I did not do mine untill after I got my Docs and they said "incomplete" is why I filled out all that stuff just in case..It is all still in the book except the contract part mentioned above. I have never recieved my Docs that early but just in case I am doing my fun pass now so will say Complete
