Wow you are in Moultrie? We are neighbors!! It is a new place called Sushilicious. It is on Kerry Forest, right off of Thomasville Rd, near Super Wal-mart. It is soooooooooo good. A hole in the wall restaurant, but incredible. I think I might get some tonight, in fact!
Desiree, Here's a pretty basic question for you as a first timer...is there anything you didn't pack that you wish you had of? I am so worried about not packing everything I need.

Ok... here is someone whom I predict will be taking 5 suitcases and only using the contents of 1.
Sunshine... DON'T overpack. Its very easy to do. They have an onboard store where you can pick up anything you may have forgotten, so don't worry about that. And you will most likely be picking up t-shirts and shorts and such in the ports... so if you have your formal night wear, bathing suit, and a couple of casual outfits.. you will be fine. Its the tropics... relax and don't worry about it...

We got by on a suitcase for each of us (4 in total). What we did was to plan out the wardrobe for each night on the cruise. For me it was mainly about the shirts, my wife, the shoes. We tried to find clothes that went with other outfits so that you can double up on what you wear. Keep in mind, the only time we had clothes on was after 6 pm. Daytime was bathing suits, shorts, tees and tanks and flip flops. Even doing this, we ended up overpacked because our luggage didn't show up until after the dinner hour, so we ended up in shorts at the outside buffet the first night. I agree with Jim, don't stress on what to bring. Have a great cruise!
thanks you guys...men just don't stress like women with these things....i just want to make sure I have everything I need and I'll "try" not to overpack...no promises cause we are getting off the boat in jacksonville and heading to my best friends in sarasota that same day to hang on the beach for a day or two....
You're right, we don't stress as much. If I had my way, I would be wearing the same shorts and tank top all week (ok, so its probably a good thing I don't get my way). I could probably put all my clothes in a grocery bag and carry on if it wasn't for that darn Tux!!
Sunshine - I will tell you one packing trick I do which it use black kitten heal sandals. I use them with my dress formal night and also with all black slack for the dinners. So with that one pair of shoe I cover all evening. Throw in a pair of sandals and wear your sneakers while boarding and you are good to go... Just a suggestion

Sunshine: Take it from someone who looks like Cleopatra headed down the Nile on her barge completely loaded...pack everything that will make your vacation the best it can be.
Even after all these years....I pack it all. That is what porters are for!!

I actually tend to underpack, which I did on this cruise. On one hand it was nice not to have a lot of stuff to keep up with. On the other hand, I wish I had packed maybe 2 extra outfits, and my husband DEFINITELY needed to pack at least 2 extra outfits. He is so messy, he stained 2 shirts, 1 pair of shorts, and loss a button on another pair of shorts!! He is worse than our 1 yr old!! It adds to his charm, though. I also wished we had packed a pair of sneakers, because although we definitely didn't intend to work out, which we didn't, we did want to play volleyball on the deck which would have been easier with sneakers. We also couldn't find any birth control on the ship (sorry if this is tacky to post, but it's important!!). I had on the patch for a few days before so let's hope it worked without the extra help! I thought for sure they would have some in the ship's store, but we couldn't find it anywhere. So.. yeah.. make sure you are set when it comes to that!
By the way about the sushi from a few posts back- we were shocked too that a place called Sushilicious could, in fact, be delicious! The owner was the head chef at Osaka for years and came up with Osaka's menu, if you have eaten there before, cruzinallthetime, then you know it is good!

Should we call you "Crusty Carl"?
Desiree, maybe you brought home a souvenir that you didn't purchase!
I can't imagine that Carl, you are a nice guy. Hey, what a day in the beautiful City of Lakes! You said you work in Edina? I just remembered an acronym for young ladies wearing the Edina jersey or sweatshirt. Every Day INeed Attention!
Now that is funny!! And true too! Of course they only allow someone like me to work here, not necessarily live in this city. Yes it is a beautiful day....perfect day to be out on the lakes. Too bad the water temp is probably around 55 degrees. I see boats out, but no one in the water.
Very nice photos desiree. Thanks for sharing. I especially like the snorkel one. I have one of those shots of my hubby and I and is one of my favorites that sits on the mantel. I don't know if you had seen the Bahamas before, but if not were you just blown away with that turquoise waters, white sand and blue, blue sky with the puffy clouds? I sure was, and my fondest memories. Just seeing your pix just sends me back there. Now that you are an experienced cruiser would you say the forum helped you? Was the cruise all you expected after hearing everyone talk about it?
