My husband and I and another couple are leaving on the Conquest May 30,04. Driving to New Orleans on the 28th. This is our first Cruise and we are SOOO excited. Counting down the days, minutes and seconds. Anyone else leaving on the Conquest at that time?
well, I have already been on the Conquest. Last spring my family and I and a bunch of other families went and it was our first cruise, and it was a blast!!! The ship is so beautiful, and there's always something going on. If you are anything like me, you will be wishing the 7 day cruise was like 14 days by the time you have to leave!! This spring break we are going on the carnival holiday, and are just as excited as last time. Here are a couple pionters: -don't be like me a take literally every outfit in your closet, because you won't wear any of them!! The basic apparel is swim siut, shorts and flip flops!!! Just take clothes for dinner each night and for the ports of call. -WEAR SUNSCREEN!!! I burned on the very first day, and it was awful. Happy cruising!!!
What!!! Not take lots of clothes! I don't know if I can go cold turkey like that. I'm a clothes horse. Thanks for the advice. I'll try to cut down on the cruise wardrobe.
We are also going to be on that ship. My group includes my parents (50s), my oldest sister (26), my two younger brothers (18/13) and me (22). My aunt and uncle are also coming (50s). I've done alot of research so I hopw I have everything covered. We are also first time cruisers so this is new to us also. Can't wait.
I am in my fifties and the other couple are in their thirties. I have also done a lot of research. These forums have been very useful. I hope I know everything there is to know about cruises. I can't wait. Maybe we'll see you on the ship.

I brought my children last May on the Conquest for their graduation present, one from college, one from H.S. We had a great time, the balcony cabin was large and wonderful to spend the mornings on watching the boat get into port. Go to as many shows as possible, go to bingo and you'll have a good seat for show. Try the Stingray tour in Grand Caymen and eat at Ernesto's in Cozumel if you get a chance. You'll love it, have a great time.
