Hi Guys, I am booking an End of the School Year cruise and since I have been on 3 on the Fantasy since August, I thought I'd try the Holiday. You guys all speak so highly of her, but what is the night life like? I love dancing. Do they have a steel drum band on the Lido Deck with room to shake a leg? Deck Parties? What other dance venues are there? I like 70's, not really into the bump and grind the youngsters do these days in the Disco on the Fantasy. Any guidance from you experts would be greatly appreciated.
-1st cruise July, 2007 - 5-day on Fantasy out of New Orleans "It was Heaven!!!" -2nd Cruise also Fantasy 10/07...What can I say I LOVE New Orleans. -3rd Cruise Fantasy, 3/08 ... Again!!! I also love Mexico!!!
I've been on Holiday twice and enjoyed each cruise a lot. You'll sail away to "Sweet Home Alabama". Crowds can change from week to week, but in October and March when we were on it, the night life died pretty early. The Fantasy had much more "night life" going on throughout the promenade, but then again it is a larger ship.
Next Cruise: Carnival Fantasy 10-27-08

In February, they did have the steal drum band one night. It was really cool, but that was about it for night life on the Lido deck. The little bar by the casino (can’t remember the name) seemed to have something going on each night. Everyone looked to be having a lot of fun there.
I almost forgot Mexican Fiesta night, but it was pretty tame. I think it would have been a little more fun, but high winds put a damper on things.
Celebration Nov. 2007 Holiday Feb. 2008 Many more to come!
Hey Mississippi! We'll being going on the Holiday June 2nd. We've been on her before. As far as I'm concerned, she's just as fun as others I've been on. The food is great. The crew is friendly and accommodating. Too me, it's just great to get away from reality. Just have fun!! P.S I'm a Pascagoula gal myself.
I loved the little bar by the casino too. On some nights they have a musician on the promenade across from the bar. No shortage of fun and partying if that is what one likes. On the other hand, there are plenty of quiet places for those that don't.
Welcome aboard,
Dwayne
