We saild on Conquest January 2005 and we are planning our second cruise with Carnival fall 2006. The itinerary we like is on Carnival Triumph. I am looking for any and all info on the Triumph or the Conquest VS the Triumph. I have read mixed reviews. Some say Triumph is a great ship others are disappointed with it compaired to other ships. I have also hear you feel waves a lot more on the Triumph because it is older than say the Conquest. We were told there were 10 foot waves on the Conquest and we felt very little. Would appreciate info here or email me at Mandi_L_Coburn@yahoo.com
I have sailed on both ships. There is not that much noticable difference. There were some features in decor that I probably liked the Conquest better, but both are nice ships. The Triumph came out in 1999 and the Conquest in 2002. The Conquest is only 8,491 ton larger than the Triumph and only 59 feet longer. Both ships have the modern stabilizers. Their beam widths are the same at 116ft. Whoever thought the Triumph was rougher because of age just must have had rougher seas on that particular cruise. Book your cruise and have fun.
