I've heard that you get a discount if you book a cruise while on a cruise. Does anyone know of this? If so, is it just the same discount as booking through Carnival as a past guest? I'd appreciate any help with this matter.

RCCL, Celebrity and Princess all have very good programs for future cruises booked onboard. Princess has the best program. I'm not familliar with such a system with Carnival. There is certainly a way to book onboard any line. I just don't think there are any perks associated with doing so with CCL.

Cheers, Neil

Run a search, I think this was discussed before and I think the conclusion was it's just a past guest discount, which you get anyway after the cruise

They have offered onboard booking incentives in the past. I haven't noticed it the last few years on my cruises. It was available only on certain ships, and may still be. The incentive was to put down a $100 deposit and receive an onboard credit on the future cruise (if I recall correctly).

I did this on the Destiny in 1997, and also received a bottle of wine on the spot that had Carnival and the Destiny etched into the bottle. I still have it.

They also allowed you to assign the booking to your Travel Agent. I couldn't find any current information. I will try to get some Info about it, if they still offer it.

You can certainly book on the cruise, but there is NO additional discount other than the regular ones. I always find that military is the best discount...then 55+ and past guest. By the way...MAJOR discounts this month (May) with carnival if you are ex military WITH verifiable DD214 AND HONORABLE DISCHARGE papers. Check em out!!
