We are flying in to Rome on March 12th and will be driven back to the airport the morning of the 14th so that we can join a "Holy Rome" shore excursion. Since we are coming back to the airport, do we just get dropped off at baggage claim? And, if so, will there be a Carnival representative there for us to see? We are being picked up at our hotel at 7 a.m. Depending on the time it takes to get to the airport, are we going to have problems being there too early. If not, what should we do once we get there? Sorry....first timers here. Thanks for any information.http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_common/platform_images/blank.gif
Your post is a bit confusing. You are going back to the airport on the 14th to join a "Holy Rome" excursion? Is this an excursion booked through Carnival? Carnival representatives should be in the baggage area the morning of the cruise to greet those arriving on Carnival arranged flights and those who bought Carnival transfers. 7AM may be a bit early.
yes, we booked the excursion through Carvival via the fax form they sent us with our cruise docs. I was told to leave the hotel early to make sure to get to the airport on time. so, is it possible that we won't be allowed to go since we aren't on a carnival flight and didn't pay for a carnival transfer? I would have hoped that if that were the case they would have called us prior to now. For us first timers, some of these little details are a bit confusing.
If the excursion is starting from the airport then no problem. There probably are people flying in the morning of the cruise that will take the same excursion too. After the excursion they probably will take you to the ship. I would think the discription of the excursion would state if they were taking you to the ship though.
