has anyone been on the "all day excursion pass" to Atlantis and if so is it worth it? We're carrying our 2 kids ages 10 and 14-Also I'm a bit confused on something- When I booked my cruise on 4/15/08 we were assigned to cabin 1052 cat 4G-when I called yesterday to ask a question he said and he said "I have good news You've been upgraded to the Panorama deck stateroom 1052". I know this is what I originally had because I found my booking receipt. Is there something I'm just not understanding. I'm not very cruise savy but I'm learning alot about cruises on this site. Also is the Panorama deck good?

The Atlantis excursion looks a little pricey to me, if it is the one that is over $100 per person.

I think you are understanding just fine, and it is the person you spoke with that is confused. I have no idea why they would say you were upgraded to the same cabin you already have. Cabin 1052 on Panorama Deck looks like a great choice to me, especially with kids. It is close to the water slide, and only one deck down to the lido deck pool area.

To not spend a ton of money and visit Atlantis, just take a cab over. There is a water taxi, but I don't recommend that. If after walking around Atlantis, there is something you'd like to do, like the aquarium, you can purchase your tickets there. There is a really nice, free beach adjacent to the property. Then you can grab a cab back to the ship. As IslandCruz states, $100/pp is a little steep. The cab fare over is $4.50 plus the bridge fee, which last time I was there was $2.50. Then all you'd spend is what you want to spend.

To see the Atlantis aquarium it cost $38.00. There may be more to this then just seeing the aquarium, but after walking down the steps, we were able to see more than what we wanted to see of the aquarium, without having to pay anything.
