My 16yo daughter and I will be cruising on the Liberty next June for 8 days. I picked the Liberty because it seems to have a lot for teens to do. Does anyone have any knowledge about the teen program on the Liberty, or any advice about cruising with a teen daughter? Here are some random questions I have:
on formal nights at dinner, will it bother our tablemates to HAVE a 16 year old at the table?
Will she be allowed to come with me in the casinos? I only like slots and wouldn't normally take her into a casino, but she might like watching, or just being there.
How safe is it for teens to walk around by themselves on a ship? We've all heard the horror stories, but she thinks she should be able to leave the teen disco and walk back by herself to the cabin. Me, being a mom, worry about her actually making it back to the cabin!
We have a category 12 room so space shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for any advice or tips you can give me! As I'm typing this, I am watching "Poseidon", lol!
This link is for the Carnival teen program. I have always thought quite highly of Carnival's youth programs and think they among the best in the cruise industry.
That link I provided also gives you the bad news about the casino.....no one under 18 allowed, and it is strictly enforced. They don't care if the kid is just watching you gamble. Everyone on the casino staff, including bar servers, will kindly direct those under 18 to leave immediately.
