We will be taking our first cruise May 11th on the Elation. I have heard Carnival has a policy against bringing alcohol on board, but I have also heard people have done it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Not worth getting caught. Take a bottle for a special occasion only (anniversary, birthday, etc.) but they still charge $10.00 corkage if they serve it in the dining room.

The complimentary ice-tea is awful (no sugar or lemon) the fruit punch is okay and the lemonade was actually quite good. Soda card enables you to use fountain coke (severely watered down) but not cans. Soda card is a bit of a rip-off on Carnival

Don't worry about it. Pack what ever you want to bring in your checked luggage (be careful about breakable bottles) We brought 4 bottles with us and also carried on several bottles at ports(in backpacks). The worst that can happen is that they take it away or hold it for you until the end of the cruise.
