thats why they're called INSIDE rooms. However, I LOVE inside rooms. You can nap anytime you want. They are exactly the same as outside rooms except no window. Is a window worth that much more money to you??

On the larger (non-fantasy class) Carnival ships there are a few (maybe 6) cabins that are considered "inside" but have portholes. They are located at the very front of the ship. IMHO, the portholes are almost useless unless you have a claustrophia issue.

Oh yeah, they are so low on the ship that if you are facing the portside of the ship, anyone walking by can look right into your cabin. Eek Eek Eek My cabins of choice are inside b/c I have bad sleep habits and the total dark helps me to sleep longer.

Are they "starboard holes" on the opposite side of the ship?

Speaking of looking into the cabin, I had the occasion to be sitting on my balcony on deck 8 to see a guy on the other side of the pier step out in his whitey tighties! Painful memory but I'm getting over it with some good counseling.

On some of the RCL ships they do have inside cabins with a window overlooking the Promanade Shopping area.....not very exciting though....
and if you do have an inside cabin, remember to bring a small night light (preferably one that rotates so you can face it up or down to match the outlet) so you can see during the middle of the night.

Billy Buzzy, Our friend here caught me in the middle of some post editing, so he didn't see anything but my lame sense of humor regarding portholes when he said, "STOP!"

I think we were in St. Marten when I looked across to see the Celebrity Infinity on the other side in proximity similar to an apartment in Queens. So my point is, it isn't just at the "Porthole level" where you see strange goings on! (Referring back to I B Cruizin's post.)

Thank you Ken; you are the only one that deserved an explanation of my curt remark, and I know you knew what had happened.

Actually, looking back, it was really pretty funny--o.k., silly.
