 I know that there are wireless access points by the cafe from what I read, I have my own wireless laptop card but are you allowed to use your own wireless laptop or do you have to purchase the card from Carnival... thanks |

If your computer has it's own wireless card, you may utilize it, however the card from carnival is free to use with purchase of the service plan. I used my own wireless laptop while I was on the Legend. Keep in mind that internet service is relatively expensive in comparison to the cost on land.

Yes, any card will work.
If you buy time by the minute you will pay 75 cents per min. If you buy a block of time you can get it as low as 55 cents per min. If you are on the Valor you will have WiFi available anywhere on the ship. The rest of the fleet only offers WiFi in the internet cafe, or close by. They also rent laptops or you can use one of their PC as part of your WiFi time. I'm sure if you are "creative" with a computer it could be free.
 This is not something I would suggest though.The internet access on the ship is through a satellite connection.
