My husband and I sre travelling on the Imagination on dec 4 this yr to the wetern caribbean Have a quick question on the dress code for the formal night. How strict are they ? Do not want to spend a whole lot of money on a dress that will be worn for one day.
Also anyone else out there travelling on that ship. Will be fun to know someone before sailing

Cocktail dress or pantsuit for a woman, suit & tie OK for gentlemen. Anything a little fancy would do. I'm sure you have something in your cupboard that will fit the bill. Happy sailing.

Hi I also have a question in your topic...Does the formal outfit have to be black? I have a lot of colorful formail wear, but in a lot of cruise shows on the travel channel *lol* they all wear black...
I just came back from carniaval imagination. It was most wonderful Evne thoough I wore black, U can wear wear any other color. I saw lot of people wearing formal dresses of various colors
enjoy!!

My husband and I are taking our first cruise 12/28/02 to the Caymans and Ocho Rio. He has "grown" abit since he had to wear a suit and I want to attend the formal night, can he get away with a sports coat, tie and slacks? We live in FL and he never needs a suit!
If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much space
