My family and I will be going on our first cruise in a couple of weeks. {Norwegian Majesty - March 22-29, 2008] I've been looking through posts here as well as various websites to try to decide which shore excursion to sign up for. Can someone please remind me which tour operator has an excursion that does stingray city and the turtle farm? I know I saw it somewhere...I just can'[t remember which website it was! Also, if anyone could give suggestions for excursions in Cozumel that would also be greatly appreciated!
I too am a new cruiser. My first NCL cruise went to Cozumel and my daughter and I went to Chankanaab Park to swim with the Dolpins. It was AWESOME!! We paid the extra dollars to actually have the dolpins swim us in. The staff was friendly and anwered everyone's questions. We were with a group from the ship so afterwards we had faces that we recognized and could say "hi" to. We also talked to some of our cruisemates that did not pay the extra dollars to actually swim with the dolphins and they were very bummed that they did not do what we did. They could see us across the beach area and were very jealous! We had kids as young as seven in our group and everyone from young to old enjoyed the excursion. However, my friend went on RC and did the same excursion at my recommendation the following year 2007 and while they had a similar experience as mine they heard around and about that some others had a problem with eels at the same site! So I'm wondering if there is a problem with a mating season with the eels or something with currents???
Hi Tammy Jo, welcome aboard! We did our swim with the Dolphins in Chankanaab Park as well, it was totally awesome! I made my hubby buy the video, now anytime I'm feeling down, I pop it in and it brings back such wonderful feelings. They are truly amazing creatures. Have a wonderful time on your upcoming cruise!
