Well how I am not sure what kinds of things that you guys like to do as a family. I have tried a few different things there in Cozumel and they were all very entertaining. One of my favorites for me was the ATV jungle and beach tour. Good luck. I also tried a horseback riding tour.

We went to Playa Mia when we were there. If you just want to hang out at the beach, this is a great place. They have lots of beach toys for the kids and adults to use. The snorkelling wasn't that great there though, if you want to snorkel. Cool

If you stop in Ocho Rios boys that age would LOVE tubing on the White River. My daughter did it at that age (she weighed about 62 lbs. really tiny, and it was still fun and safe). If you can afford to go to Discovery Cove and swim with Dolphins in Cozumel they will never forget it, and you will get pictures you wouldn't trade for gold. Book directly through the park and take a cab--the tour offered off the ship will be crowded and shorter, and will probably not allow you much time to explore the park area (there is a beach, snorkeling, a nature trail, etc.). It is a lot of $$ for a family, I know, but go to the Discovery Cove website and look it over. There are a lot of cabs where you get off the ship--you will only have to wait in the line a short time, and cabs are at the Chankanaab park (DIscovery Cove's home) to bring you back. We paid $12 one way for 4. They sell a DVD of the experience (we bought it--not like we can do it a second time) We also bought their pictures and took tons of our own with water-proof cameras. I would economize on other stops if I had to to be able to do this once.

Why do you go to the Caribbean? Beach and water. So most of our excursions involve some kind of water activity. Snorkeling would be our number 1.
