Hi, on my last cruise, instead of stopping at Cococay, we ended up at Puerto Rico. We did not expect to be at this place, so we didn't really know anything about it. We wandered around and did some shopping. We are hoping next time, if we happen to stop there again, we will know what to do or where to go? Are there any suggestions? Thanks Smile

Our last cruise stopped in San Juan and many cruisers were talking about how great the Barcardi Rum Factory tour was. Having seen the rainforest and Old San Juan years before, we did the same thing you did..just hit a few shops and hang out. Another day at sea would have been preferable! Smile

Our Jan '06 cruise had a stop in San Juan and we spent a great day walking from the port up to the fort, and then took the long way back. It was my favorite day of our cruise! We had gorgeous weather, so that helped. Bypass all the cab drivers at the port and walk -- Old San Juan is great!

Thank you for the replies, our ship docked in Puerto Rico at like 3:30 p.m. We got off the ship about 4:00, we wandered around for a couple hours, took some pictures, did some shopping, and when it got dark,we went back on the ship,we were not familiar with the place because it was our first time there. Tncruiseman, maybe another day at sea would have been better like you said or maybe next time if the ship stops there early we could do some research about the place before we go on the island. Smile
